About Gina DeLapa
Gina DeLapa founded Maestro Consulting Group on the premise that most people prefer to work for a team that’s winning—yet when it comes to creating and sustaining a top-performance workplace, only a select few organizations will put themselves through the hard work of getting better all the time.
These are precisely the types of firms with whom DeLapa works best—helping them raise the bar on workplace communication, sharpen their leadership skills, and reap the rewards of top performance.
As a licensed professional counselor with significant contributions both in higher education and private industry, DeLapa connects easily with all levels of associates, from new college graduates to CEOs.
Young Professionals, We Love You!
Helping Gen Y succeed in the workplace is DeLapa’s forte and shining hour. As a university career counselor who entered the field with years of business experience, she was often bridging the communication gap between her students (“So, like, what if I get two job offers at once?”) and the employers who hired them (“Someone needs to teach these kids how to earn respect!”).
Seeking to make a much greater impact on the workplace led DeLapa to start Real-World Etiquette, which in 2010 became Maestro Consulting Group.
DeLapa’s own workplace training began at age 10, while working in her parents’ frozen food company. More than simply sorting coupons for 50 cents an hour, DeLapa quickly developed a manager’s mindset and the professional work habits required in the white-collar workplace—from punctuality to dress code to speech. She still remembers her boss’s boss telling her (politely) to stop saying “yeah.” She dropped her childhood speech habits, but kept her sense of humor.
